Oven Tips
- Set the dial on your oven to the setting that produces the most BOTTOM HEAT (usually the bake setting), as this is the secret to a crispy base and replicates that of a true pizza oven
- You can cook your pizza in the oven on a pre-heated pizza stone, especially if your oven is a modern one with no bottom element
- We choose to place the pizza directly onto the bottom oven rack. Try it!
Conventional Oven cooking Instructions for Thin & Crispy Base
Select bottom element mode on your oven, usually bake mode but avoid Fan Bake if possible. Set to 200c and preheat oven (The hotter the better). Slide pizza low into the oven either onto a preheated tray, pizza stone or directly onto the rack. Bake till desired texture is achieved, usually around 8-10 mins.
BBQ Cooking Instructions for Thin & Crispy Base
Preheat hooded BBQ to 230c then turn burners onto low to maintain temperature. Place topped pizza directly on rack, close hood and bake for 6-7 minutes, rotating regularly for even baking or alternatively place on pre-heated pizza stone directly on BBQ.
